The Duke’s Lacrosse Club has revised its schedule for the annual Ricky Whelan Developmental Program clinics.
The first clinic was held Sunday; all remaining clinics are as follows:
*Saturday, Sept. 17, 2:30-5 p.m. at Shipley School’s new turf field on Montgomery Ave., Bryn Mawr. (Walkup candidates should try to arrive at 2:15 to avoid long lines)
Parking should be available off of Montgomery avenue entrance.
*Sunday, Sept. 25, 4-6 p.m., Harriton High
*Saturday, Oct. 1, 2:30-5 PM at Shipley School. Parking should be available off of Montgomery avenue entrance.
*Sunday, Oct. 9, 4-6 p.m. Harriton High
*Sunday, Oct. 16, 4-6 p.m. at Harriton High.
The Ricky Whelan program, with walkup registration beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the Harriton site, serves as a prelude to the Duke’s travel team tryouts. The Dukes tryouts are tentatively slated for Oct. 23 at Haverford College.
Whelan was a Dukes alum who died suddenly in his sleep six years ago. He exemplifies the quality of player and person the Dukes wish to create and associate with.
