Conestoga Youth Lacrosse is holding a benefit/fundraising clinic for all elementary school and middle school age boys in support of Logan Schweiter on Sunday, September 18, from 3-4:30 p.m. at Wilson Park.
Registration begins at 2:30 p.m. A donation of $25 is suggested. The clinic will be run by Dave Metzbower, Malvern Prep coach, Peter Scott, CYL coach, and Conestoga High School lacrosse players.
On July 25, Logan was caught under water in a flooded creek. He was pulled out, resuscitated and taken to Bryn Mawr Hospital and then later transferred to CHOP. Logan is currently in stable condition but unable to interact with his family due to the sedation and paralytics.
Logan, 12, the youngest of the three Schweiter kids, is a happy, confident boy who loves to watch his favorite football team, the Vikings. He just completed the 6th grade at St. Katherine’s in Wayne, loves football and is part of the Conestoga Youth Lacrosse community.
To help with the many injury-related expenses not covered by insurance, a fundraising campaign in Logan’s honor has been established with National Transplant Assistance Fund (NTAF). NTAF is a local nonprofit that has been assisting the transplant and catastrophic injury communities for more than 28 years.
All donations are tax-deductible and are administered by NTAF for injury-related expenses only.
Checks should be made payable to: NTAF Mid-Atlantic Traumatic Brain Injury Fund, note: In honor of Logan Schweiter.
