Johnathan Otto scored the game-winner in overtime as New Hope-Solebury defeated host Holy Ghost Prep today in a battle of the Bicentennial Athletic League leaders.
The Lions improved to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in the BAL. Holy Ghost fell to 2-4 overall and 1-1 in the league.
New Hope led, 6-3, at halftime, but the Firebirds rallied with five goals in the third period to tie it.
Carter Robinson paced the Lions with three goals and Jeff Cimbalista had two goals and an assist. Alex Coleman added a goal and three assists and John Cimbalista had a goal and an assist. Max Wolf made eight saves in goal.
Jeremy Omrod led HGP with two goals and three assists and Bennett Zaba added two goals.
Ridley 6, Radnor 5, 2OT
Eric Streicher scored twice and had the game-winner in the second overtime as the visiting Green Raiders (7-0, 4-0) remained undefeated with the Central League win over the Red Raiders.
Dalton George sent it into overtime by scoring with 1:46 to play in regulation. Kevin Garling, Kelton Heverly and Ryan O’Kane also scored for the Green aiders, whose defense killed off all four man-down situations. Tom McDermott made 11 saves.
For Radnor, Jeff Puckette scored twice and Brendan Manderack made 12 saves.
