Boys’ lacrosse: Manheim Township downs Hempfield, 18-12, for Lancaster-Lebanon regular season title

Jake Weber had four goals and two assists while Quint Miller and Mark Stratton each scored three goals as host Manheim Township defeated Hempfield, 18-12, today in a game involving two teams in the PA Boys’ Media Lacrosse Rankings.

With the win, the Blue Streaks (15-1 overall) won the regular season title in the Lancaster-Lebanon league with a 12-0 mark. Manheim Township is ranked No. in the PIAA in the Media Rankings and No. 37 in the country in the ESPN RISE POWERADE Fab 50.

Hempfield suffered its first loss of the year and finished its regular season 17-1 overall and 11-1 in the L-L League. The Black Knights are ranked No. 8 in the PIAA In the media Rankings.

Township raced to a 12-4 halftime lead and never looked back. Chase Miller added two goals and four assists and Rob Went had two goals and one assist.

Michael Ondrusek led Hempfield with four goals and an assist and Nick Valentino had three goals.

The Lancaster–Lebanon League playoffs will be held next Wednesday and Friday.
