Drexel trailed by four goals with less than 23 minutes remaining but the Dragons reeled off five straight goals over the next 11 minutes en route to a 13-11 comeback victory over host Bucknell today.
Becca Drylie-Perkins and Charlotte Wood (Conestoga) each contributed four goals for Drexel while senior Rachael Behrndt (Downingtown East) came off the bench to make four saves and record her first career victory in goal. The win moved Drexel to 6-1 while the Bison dropped to 1-5.
Katie Lawson added two goals and an assist and freshman Kelli Joran (Downingtown East) had a goal and an assist.
Villanova 21, Long Island University 8
Justin Donodeo tallied four goals and Erica Rybinski added three to lead the Wildcats (4-0) to the easy win. Carly Miller, Sarah Berger (Hill School), Maria Bowman and Lauren Gallagher each added two goals for Villanova.
Christie Wienckowski (Marple Newtown) led LIU (0-3) with four goals.
G. Washington 9, Virginia Tech 8
Taylor Donohue (Radnor) had two goals and an assist and Sarah Phillips (Downingtown West) scored twice for GW (2-3).
Boston University 15, William & Mary 10
Kyrstin Mackrides (Villa Maria Academy) had a goal and two draw controls and Emily Geary (Radnor) made eight saves for the losing Tribe (2-2).
Dartmouth 12, Notre Dame 8
Maggie Tamasitis (Boyertown) collected two goals and an assist for the No. 8 Fighting Irish (2-1) in defeat.
Navy 23, Fresno State 2
Kathy Young (Villa Maria Academy) netted four goals for the Mids (7-0).
