The Philadelphia Wings will look to continue a two-game win streak as they host Eastern Division foe Toronto Saturday at the Wachovia Center at 7 p.m. in National Lacrosse League action.
The Wings will honor American Heroes, a salute to police, firefighters and the military, by offering a $10 ticket. All eligible recipients should visit the box office with a valid work ID.
In the last meeting between the teams, on Feb. 5, Toronto won at home 19-11. The Rock (6-6) are currently third in the NLL’s Eastern Division.
Toronto is led by Colin Doyle who is second in the league scoring with 71 points (19G, 52A), followed by Garrett Billings with 63 points (26G, 37A) and Blaine Manning with 62 points (25G, 37A). Toronto has used two goalies in their 12 games. Bob Watson has a goals against average of 9.49 per game and Steve Dietrich has a goals against average of 10.72.
The Wings, (4-8) are currently sixth in the Eastern Division. Drew Westervelt leads the Wings with 57 points (24G, 33A), followed by Kyle Wailes with 51 points (22G, 29A) and Dan Teat with 36 points (15G, 21A). Wings goalie Brandon Miller is third in league with 418 saves on the season.
