Phillylacrosse.com is asking readers to pick the team they predict will win the NCAA Division I women’s national championship.
The poll is on the bottom right of our home page.
The teams to choose from include five-time defending champion Northwestern, Penn, Maryland, Duke, Virginia and North Carolina.
The poll will run for several weeks.
Our last poll was a close one. Drexel (31 percent) edged Villanova (29 percent) as well as Delaware 920 percent) in the category of which teams is the best men’s team in the city. Drexel and Villanova will, in fact, square off Wednesday night when the Dragons travel to Villanova Stadium to meet the Wildcats at 7 p.m.
Drexel (6-1), which has won six straight since falling to No. 1 Virginia in its opener, is ranked No. 11 in today’s United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association rankings. Villanova is 4-2 and has won four of five games.
