This week’s United Sports Boys’ Underclass Honor Roll honorees:
Tom Bracaglia, Wissahickon, junior
Off the field: He has a 4.0 GPA in Honors and AP Classes, scored 2130 on the SATs and is involved in Concert Band, Jazz Band and Jazz Combo. Is a member of the National Honors Society and the Foreign Language Honor Society.
On the field: a defensemen, he has been a of the varsity defense since his freshman year, and finished last season with 36 groundballs and 39 takeaways as well as two goals and was named Second-Team all-Suburban One and SOL Scholar Athlete. Has helped the Trojans start the league season with an undefeated mark this year.
Anthony DeSana, Methacton, junior
Off the field: He has a 3.9 GPA and has been a Meritorious Honors winner (94 pct or better) each marking period since high school. He is in the top 35 of 454 students for class rank and is GPLOA Official certified for Junior games this summer. He also volunteers as an assistant with the U-13 Collegeville Cougars club team.
On the field: He is a starting defenseman, often drawing one of the opposing teams best attackmen. He’s taken on a leadership role and is a respected teammate both on the field and in the classroom.
