Episcopal Academy midfielder Taylor Trimble and Downingtown East goalie Allie Murray have been named as one of 24 selected for the U.S. U19 women’s national training team after a three-day tryout at University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).
US Lacrosse released the roster that will train to compete in the 2011 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) U19 World Championships in Hanover, Germany.
Trimble, a rising senior headed to Duke, was an All-American who led EA to its sixth straight Inter-Ac League championship. She earned All-Phillylacrosse.com honors this week and was the repeat winner of the Heather Leigh Albert Award as the top player at the National Tournament in May.
Murray, a rising senior bound for Notre Dame, led the Cougars to a fifth-place finish in the District 1 championships and into the quarterfinals of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association tournament. She was named to the All-Phillylacrosse.com team today.
