The Pattison Sports Group has announced it will add a Summer Slam Lacrosse Tournament for girls on Saturday July 2 and Sunday July 3, 2011.
The tournament will be held at the Westtown School in West Chester. The 2nd Annual Summer Slam Lacrosse Tournament for youth and High School boys will be June 25 & 26 at Westtown and Episcopal Academy.
The Summer Slam Girls Tournament will follow the same format as the boys’ tournament and consist of nine divisions U9, U11, U13A&B, U15A&B, High School AA, High School A, and High School B. Each girls’ team is guaranteed four games over two days and teams playing for Summer Slam Titles will play additional games Sunday.
The Westtown School’s campus is a top-ranked facility featuring nine natural grass surfaces. On Saturday morning, July 2, the Summer Slam staff will host a coach’s breakfast social, sign-in and tournament information packet pick-up.
“We have an opportunity to add a girls’ side to the Summer Slam Tournament and attract the top teams throughout the country,” said Jeff Long, President Pattison Sports Group. “After hosting 65 boys’ teams last year and based on coach’s feedback we are committed to adding a girl’s event.
“The July 4th weekend is wide open and we’re excited to draw teams from across the country to play in the Summer Slam as well as take in all that Philadelphia has to offer that weekend.”
In Addition, the Pattison Sports Group has partnered with NXTsports, which hosts the top showcase event in the area, the Philly Showcase for both boys and girls.
