Springfield-Delco hosts Conestoga Tuesday at 7:00 in a Central League boys’ game that will play a key role in the championship race.
Meanwhile in girls’ lacrosse, Unionville hosts Great Valley at 7:00 Tuesday in a critical Ches-Mont League game also featuring teams with undefeated league records.
Conestoga is 8-1 overall and 4-0 in the league and ranked No. 1 in the PA Media Rankings in the PIAA. The Pioneers are the defending league champions. Springfield-Delco, ranked No. 3 in the PIAA in the Media Rankings, is 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the league. The Cougars lost twice to the Pioneers last year, the second one coming in the state semifinals.
The Unionville and Great Valley girls are currently tied with Bishop Shanahan at 3-0 atop the Ches-Mont. Unionville (7-1) is ranked No. 4 in the Media Rankings in both the PIAA and All-Teams and Great Valley is No. 6 in the PIAA and No. 7 in All-Teams.
Unionville is coming off its first loss, a 12-9 defeat to Strath Haven. Great Valley has yet to win a game by less than nine goals.
