Head coach Cindy Timchal and the Navy women’s lacrosse program have announced its schedule of camps and skill clinics for this upcoming summer. Girls of all ages and skill levels will have the unique opportunity to learn the the nuances of the game from one of the most accomplished coaching.
The camps is directed by head coach Timchal, a Haverford High graduate, the winningest coach in NCAA lacrosse history. Timchal is a two-time National Coach of the Year who led Maryland to eight NCAA Championships, the fourth most in a women’s NCAA history.
The camps include the Navy Youth Day Clinic (June 21 – 23, 2010; Ages 5 to 14), the Navy Elite Gold Camp (June 29 – July 1, 2010; Ages 14-18 Including incoming college freshmen) and the Navy Open Camp (July 12 – 14, 2010; All Ages). For more information and online registration, click here.

NAVY YOUTH DAY CLINIC

This camp is specifically designed to teach and develop the fundamental skills of the game: Throwing, Catching, Shooting, Ground Balls, Offensive and Defensive Skills, Feeding and Confidence Level Improvement, in a fun and educational atmosphere. Beginner Goalie skills and techniques will be addressed as well through our Goalie School.
DAY ONLY – COST $250

NAVY ELITE GOLD CAMP
June 29 – July 1, 2010; Ages 14-18
Including incoming college freshmen!
This challenging camp is designed for the elite lacrosse player who aspires to play lacrosse in college. The sessions are intense, highly competitive, and emphasize high level techniques, skills and strategies. Evening sessions include full-field games. Goalie skills and techniques will be addressed as well through our Goalie School. In the evening there will be a College Recruiting Question and Answer session.

NAVY OPEN CAMP
July 12 – 14, 2010; All Ages
This camp provides training for all levels. There is strong emphasis on mastering basic skills as well as moving on to more advanced parts of the game. Sessions will focus on individual skills, team concepts and full field play. Campers will be divided up by age and skill level in order to provide the appropriate learning environment. Goalie skills and needs addressed as well through our Goalie School.
