Scholastic girls: Archbishop Wood deals North Penn its first defeat, 11-6

Alyssa Andress had three goals and Emily Hutson made nine saves assists to lead visiting Archbishop Wood to an 11-6 victory over previously-undefeated North Penn today in non league girls’ lacrosse.

The win dropped the Maidens – ranked No. 5 in the PA Media Rankings and by Phillylacrosse.com – to 12-1. Wood improved to 11-3.

Meghan Oczkowski added two goals and one assist for the Vikings and Nicole Hayes scored twice while Caitlyn McCartney added a goal and two assists.

Macie Hauck scored three goals for the Maidens and Garrie Grenfell had a goal and an assist. North Penn was without one of its top scorers, Abbie Hartman.
