Rich Rambo scored four goals and Ryan Ambler, Matt Rambo and Nick Pisko each had three as visiting Abington thumped Pennsbury, 16-4, Friday in a Suburban One National Conference boys’ lacrosse game between teams that entered play undefeated in the league.

The win moves the Ghosts – ranked No. 8 in the PA Media Rankings for the PIAA – to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the conference. Pennsbury, ranked No. 7, suffers its first loss and falls to 10-1 overall and 4-1 in the conference.

Jesse McGinley was a standout in the cage and made 12 saves for the Ghosts, who were outshot, 36-31.

Pennsbury actually scored the game’s first goal, but the Ghost responded with eight unanswered goals and led, 10-2, at halftime. Joey Jones added one goal and three assists and Anthony Hensley had a goal and an assist while Matt Figueroa scored once.

For the Falcons, Ricky Jutkiewicz, Shawn Caven, Evan Caterson and Tim Considine each scored once. Pennsbury had not allowed more than eight goals in any games this year.
