1. Springfield-Delco (13-1) – The Cougars continued to silence the doubters by toppling former No. 1 La Salle, 11-5, on Saturday behind great defense and goaltending and an opportunistic attack. Could they beat Haverford School? We won’t know, but we sure can debate the question. The Cougars play at Upper Darby Tuesday and at Ridley Thursday. (Prev: 2)

2. Haverford School (15-3) – The Fords have looked strong (five straight wins) since their loss to Malvern Prep two weeks ago. They play at St. Joseph’s Prep Tuesday and then travel to Malvern Prep for a rematch Friday. (Prev: 3)

3. Conestoga (13-2) – The Pioneers survived a major scare Tuesday when they edged Radnor, 6-5, in the Central League. They host Strath Haven Tuesday and play at Haverford High Thursday as they hope someone knocks off Springfield-Delco. (Prev: 4)

4. La Salle (9-2) – The Explorers look to get back on track Tuesday when they host Emmaus. (Prev: 1)

5. Episcopal Academy (12-3) – The Churchmen face a key Inter-Ac League challenge Wednesday at Malvern Prep and also play at Penn Charter on Saturday. (Prev: 6)

6. Abington (12-1) – The Ghosts looked most impressive in wins last week over Holy Ghost Prep (19-5) and Ridley (16-5). They have three Suburban One National games this week (against Council Rock South, Neshaminy and CR North), but the real test will be Saturday when they host No. 7 Garnet Valley. (Prev: 7)

7. Garnet Valley (9-3) – The Jaguars look to rebound from a defeat to No. 1 Springfield-Delco when they host Ridley Tuesday. Their game against Abington Saturday is a rematch of a seventh-place state qualifier last year won by GV, 11-10. (Prev: 5)

8. Germantown Academy (7-4) – The Patriots have been knocked out of the Inter-Ac title chase and look to rebound with home games against league foe Penn Charter (Wednesday) and non-league foe Upper Dublin (Thursday). (Prev: 7)

9. Downingtown West (13-1) – The Whippets are peaking as they gear for today’s Ches-Mont League showdown at Avon Grove. Both teams are 6-0 in the league. (Prev: NR)

10. Emmaus (8-5) – The Green Hornets, who are breezing in the Lehigh Valley Conference, get another shot at knocking off a heavyweight Tuesday when they play at No. 4 La Salle. (Prev: 10)

Under consideration (alphabetic order): Avon Grove (10-2), Central Bucks East (10-1), Malvern Prep (8-6), Penncrest (7-4), Pennsbury (13-1), Radnor (9-5), Ridley (10-3), Spring-Ford (14-1), St. Joseph’s Prep (6-6).
