NCAA playoff brackets: Seven Philly teams make the fields in Divisions I, II, III

The Penn women and Delaware men and five other Philly college teams learned which teams they will play Sunday night when the brackets for the NCAA Division I tournament were released.

Penn, the Ivy League champion, is seeded No. 8 in Division I and will face Boston University on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Immaculata University.

The Delaware men, the champions of the Colonial Athletic Association in Division I, will travel to No. 4 seed North Carolina on Sunday at 5 p.m. at Chapel Hill.

In Division II, the West Chester women – champions of the PSAC East – made the field of six and will host Limestone on Saturday at 1 p.m.

In Division III, the Colonial State Athletic Conference champion Cabrini women will play Wednesday at the College of New Jersey in the first round. The time of that game has yet to be released.

In the men’s Division III pairings, Middle Atlantic Conference champion Widener and CSAC champion Cabrini will open on Wednesday while Centennial Conference champion Haverford College received a first-round bye.

Widener plays at Springfield (MA) and Cabrini hosts Denison. Game times will be announced. Haverford College will play the winner of the Dickinson-Ohio Wesleyan game on Saturday at a site to be announced.

In Division I, both Villanova and Drexel – teams ranked high all year – were not awarded at-large berths.
