Rising junior defenseman Chris Panichelli, who this week was listed as one of the top players at his position by Inside Lacrosse magazine, has transferred from Henderson High to Bishop Shanahan.

Panichelli was a Second Team Ches-Mont League pick in 2010 for the Warriors after earning Honorable Mention all-league as a freshman. He was listed at No. 20 in the Young Guns feature for Top Rising Juniors by Inside Lacrosse in this month’s recruiting issue.

Panichelli, who plays club lacrosse for the Duke’s L.C., said he transferred because “I felt I needed a change in my environment so that I could focus more on academics and improve my grades to enable myself to go to my college of choice.”
