Eden Prairie (Minn.) senior defenseman Bennett Johnson has committed to play lacrosse at Division III Haverford College.
Johnson also considered Kenyon, Wooster, Trinity and Tufts, and will major in sociology or political science.
“Haverford is a unique combination of Top 10 lacrosse and Top 10 academics, Johnson said. “At Haverford, nothing is guaranteed in the admissions process. But if admitted, I look forward to the great challenge and opportunity of attending and competing at such an excellent school.”
Haverford won the Centennial Conference tournament in 2010 and advanced to the NCAA Division III lacrosse quarterfinals. The Fords also made playoff appearances in 2009 (eliminated second round) and 2008 (eliminated in second round).
