Longstreth’s co-sponsoring girls’ scholastic playday Saturday with host Harriton and L. Merion-area teams

Harriton High School, in conjunction with Longstreth’s Lacrosse of Pottstown, is sponsoring a special preseason playday Saturday for eight girls’ lacrosse teams based in and around Lower Merion Township.

The are two teams each from the Central League (Lower Merion and Harriton), Friends Schools League (Shipley and Friends Central), Inter-Ac League (Baldwin School and Agnes Irwin), and the Catholic Academies League (Merion Mercy and Sacred Heart).

Many of the girls from all the teams got their start and played many years together in the Lower Merion Youth Girls Lacrosse Program, run by Rich Schwab. All scrimmages are 25 minutes long and each team will play four games.
