La Salle senior Jill Davis (Ridley) has been named the IWLCA Scholar-Athlete of the year for Division I.
A First Team All-Atlantic 10 Conference honoree, Davis was a two-time Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Week pick in 2010. Davis, the Women’s Lacrosse Scholar Athlete of the Year for the Atlantic 10 Conference, was named to the CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-District team.
The elementary/special education major was named the La Salle University student athlete of the month, and La Salle University Student Athlete of the week twice. In addition, the senior was honored as the La Salle University Scholar Athlete of the year, which is awarded to athlete with the highest GPA. Davis was selected to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for every semester she was eligible to earn this award.
Davis led the A-10 with four game-winning goals and had a team best 40 goals, 14 assists and 54 points.
The co-captain helped the Explorers to program records for wins and conference victories along with a all-time best No. 2 seed in the 2010 Atlantic 10 Tournament. She graduated with a 4.0 grade point average.
