Keystone State Games: Defending champ Lehigh Valley is defeated by Blue Mountain in finals

Blue Mountain defeated defending champion Lehigh Valley, 8-4, this afternoon in the finals of the Keystone State Games Sr. boys’ lacrosse tournament at State College.

Lehigh Valley fell behind, 4-1, early in the second half and then pulled within, 5-4, but Blue Mountain tallied the final three goals to clinch it.

Blue Mountain (7-0) was comprised of players from state semifinalist Manheim Township and Hempfield and other areas in Lancaster, Berks and Schuylkill counties.

Lehigh Valley, which went 5-0 in pool play, defeated Delaware County, 9-8, in the semifinals on a late goal by Dan Kinek. Blue Mountain also went 5-0 in its pool and toppled Bucks County to reach the semifinals.
