From Press Releases

The Inter-Ac League will hold its second annual post-season boys’ lacrosse invitational on Friday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 26 at Dixon Field on the campus of Cabrini College. The new addition to the field will be Lawrenceville School from New Jersey.

The semifinals will be 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and the finals will take place May 26th at 7:00 pm. Last year, the #1 seed Haverford School defeated the #2 seed Malvern Prep, 9-5. Seeds will be determined at the conclusion of the regular season.

Tickets for the semifinals and finals are $7.00 per day and can be purchased in advance at PSG.TicketLeap.com. Tickets may be purchased at the gate. However, seating at Dixon Field will be limited, so fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.

The Inter-Ac consists of the following high schools: Episcopal Academy, Germantown Academy, Haverford School, Malvern Prep, and William Penn Charter. Last year Haverford School defeated Malvern Prep for the tourney championship after the two years tied for the league title. Haverford School is currently he No. 1 ranked team in the state, according to the PA Media Rankings.

“This event was a huge success last year and with the addition of Lawrenceville, tickets will be tough to get and the atmosphere will once again be electric,” said Episcopal Academy head coach Andy Hayes. “In just its second year, this Invitational has become a premier post-season tournament. We are all excited to play and earn bragging rights for the year.”
