Number one seed Haverford School will face No. 3 seed Episcopal Academy tonight at 7:00 in the Inter-Ac League Invitational championship game at Cabrini College.
Haverford School, which tied with Malvern Prep for the league title, has a record of 19-4 and is ranked No. 3 in the PA Media Rankings and 19th in the Under Armour/Inside Lacrosse power Rankings as well as 19th in the LaxGuys’ National Rankings.
Episcopal Academy is 16-5 and ranked No. 6 in the PA Media Rankings. The Fords advanced by defeating Lawrenceville School (N.J.), 11-5, while EA edged Malvern Prep, 5-4. Haverford School swept the Churchmen during the regular season, winning by margins of 12-6 and 10-3.
“The finals on Wednesday night will be another great battle between two lacrosse powerhouses,” said Haverford School coach John Nostrant. “The atmosphere will be electric and our team is excited about the opportunity to win another post-season title. It has been a great year and we can’t thank the fans enough for their support of this event.”
Tickets for the Finals are $7.00 and may be purchased in advance at SG.TicketLeap.com or at the gate. Seating at Dixon Field is limited so it is encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.
The event has been promoted by the the Pattison Sports Group of Philadelphia.
