Hatboro-Horsham boys to host North Penn Tuesday in benefit game for Breast Cancer and HH girls’ coach Schmucker

The Hatboro-Horsham boys lacrosse team will host North Penn at Hatters Football Stadium Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. to honor the Breast Cancer’s Susan G Komen 3-day walk on behalf of Hatters girls’ coach Marie Schmucker.

Schmucker has returned as head coach of the HH girls’ team after being diagnosed 2 years ago with breast cancer.

The boys’ lacrosse team – which will wear pink jerseys – will donate all proceeds from the game to Schmucker’s team in the upcoming 3-day walk. Schmucker, a three-time All-American at Temple who won two natonal championships in the 1980s, is a member of the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

The event will promote breast cancer awareness and survival. Before the game begins, players will be on the field to hand out pink roses to all their loved ones who have survived cancer.
