Harman (Boyertown) leads Denver to easy win; Drexel prevails

Sophomore goalie Ashley Harman (Boyertown) allowed just two goals in 51 minutes of action to lead host Denver to a 14-4 rout of Sacred Heart Thursday in women’s college lacrosse.

Kelsey McDowell (Penn Charter) had two draw controls and a groundballs while Kate Henrich (Germantown Academy) had one draw control and one groundball.

Wednesday

Drexel 11, American 10

The Dragons opened their home schedule by holding off the Eagles, who rallied from an 11-5 deficit to make it a close game. Charlotte Wood (Conestoga) scored five goals while Becca Drylie-Perkins added four for Drexel (2-0). American (0-1) got two goals from Amanda Makoid (Archbishop Wood) and one goal and one assist from Bernadete Maher (Council Rock North).

Katie Lawson and Nicole Musto each added a goal and two assists for the Dragons, who return to action Sunday when they host George Washington at 1:00 p.m.
