Friday’s scholastic girls’ roundup: Purvis scores 200th and leads Hatters past Souderton

Hatboro-Horsham senior Lauren Purvis scored her 200th career goal Friday and finished with four tallies and two assists in helping the host Hatters defeat Souderton, 15-12, in Suburban One Continental Conference girls’ lacrosse.

Purvis, who will play Penn State next year, tallied her 200th 10 seconds into play. Kristen O’Brien, Nicole Beck, Nicole Beck, Sarah Tustin, Lizzie Carr and Cortnee Daley each added two goals for the Hatters (4-2, 3-1).

Danielle Notvest had four goals and an assist for Souderton while Lindsay Walbrandt had three goals and two assists and Carly Kendall had three goals and one assist.

Springside School 13, Penn Charter 12

Libbie Maine (four goals, one assist) scored with 12 seconds to play off a feed from Nicole Lombardo to give Springside an upset win over the Quakers.

Courtney Caputo had four goals and Lombardo added three goals and two assists as Springside rallied from a 9-7 halftime deficit.

Hillary McDonnell had 12 saves in goal and had several crucial saves late in the game.

Kellie Ragg led PC with four goals.

Norristown 14, Upper Moreland 12

Beverly Pate scored four goals while Charmaze Banks, Taylor Foxworth and Morgan Heist each had three as the Eagles topped the Bears in the Suburban One American.

Carly Griviack and Alexa Schuck led Upper Moreland with three goals each.

North Penn 20, CB West 4

Abbie Hartman had five goals and three assistswhile Dani Horn and Garrie Grenfell added three goals and one assist each to lead the undefeated Maidens (9-0, 4-0) the Suburban One Continental win.

Pennridge 10, CB South 9

Emily Maher (three goals, one assist) tallied the game-winner with 1:25 to play to lift the Rams to the Suburban One Continental win.

Jen Moyer (three goals, one assist) tied the game at 9-9 with 1:49 to play or Pennridge.

Kelly Hamilton led CB South with three goals and Jess Adcock made 14 saves.

Abington Friends 11, George School 10

Kelly McGlynn (four goals, one assist) scored winning goal with 1:05 left as the Kangaroos earned an exciting win.

Stephanie Feinman led George School with five goals

Upper Dublin 8, Cheltenham 3

Amy Cross had four goals and one assist to lead the Cardinals.

Liz Heimann led the Panthers with three goals.

Abington 20, Neshaminy 0

Molly Seefried had four goals and three assists and Courtney Cox added three goals and two assists to help the Ghosts blank the Falcons.

Carli Fitzgerald had five draw controls and five turnovers while Liz Wilson and Courtney Enderle added five groundballs each to lead the defense.

Owen J. Roberts 12, Phoenixville 5

Nicole Miller had four goals, three assists and five groundballs to pace the Wildcats to the PAC-10 win.

Emily Kolsevich had four goals, two assists and two takeaways. and Kristen Gregory made 13 saves

Plymouth Whitemarsh 8, Upper Moreland 4

Meg McCullough had two goals and two assists and Mollie Getzfred scored two goals for PW.

Kellie Manoppello led the Vikes with two goals.
