Four Philly boys have been named among the top 25 juniors in the country in this week’s ESPN RISE “ON THE RISE” feature.
Haverford School midfielder/defenseman Will McNamara (No. 6), Conestoga attackman Tyler Brooke (No. 11), Malvern Prep defenseman Eddie Morris (No. 14) and and
Bishop Shanahan defenseman Chris Panichelli (No. 22) were the Philly players cited.
McNamara, who helped the Fords claim a share of the Inter-Ac-League championship last year with Malvern Prep, has committed to Virginia. McNamara was a First Team Inter-Ac pick last year.
Brooke recently committed to Maryland. He scored a team-leading 27 goals and helped the Pioneers claims the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association title.
Morris, who was an Honorable Mention Inter-Ac pick in 2010 for the co-champion Friars, committed to Johns Hopkins in the summer.
Panichelli, who is undecided, transferred over the summer to Shanahan from Henderson. He was a Second Team Ches-Mont League pick in 2010.
