Final 2010 Phillylacrosse.com Girls’ Rankings: Top 25

The final Phillylacrosse.com Rankings for 2010 (based on overall record, strength of schedule and playoff performance)

1. Radnor (26-1) –The Red Raiders shared the Central League title, won the District 1 crown and repeated as PIAA champions.

2. Springfield-Delco (23-3) – The Cougars shared the Central League crown and were the runner-up to Radnor in the District 1 and PIAA championships.

3. Unionville (22-4) – The Indians placed third in District 1 and reached the PIAA semifinals.

4. Archbishop Carroll (15-6) – The Patriots won their 10th straight Catholic League championship and advanced to the second round of the PIAA tourney.

5. Strath Haven (18-4) – The Panthers were the only team to defeat Radnor, shared the Central League crown and placed sixth in District 1.

6. Great Valley (21-3) – The Patriots won the Ches-Mont League title with an undefeated record and placed fourth in District 1.

7. Episcopal Academy (16-5) – EA won its sixth straight Inter-Ac League championship and finished the year with 10 straight wins.

8. Downingtown East (19-6) – The Cougars placed fifth in District 1 and advanced to the second round of the PIAA tourney.

9. Notre Dame (14-5) – The Irish placed second in the Inter-Ac League behind Episcopal Academy.

10. North Penn (19-4) – The Maidens were undefeated champions of the Suburban One Continental Conference and advanced to the PIAA tourney.

11. Conestoga (13-10) – The Pioneers placed eighth in District 1.

12. Merion Mercy (15-5) – The Bears repeated as champions of the Athletic Association of Catholic Academies.

13. Upper Dublin (18-1) – The Cardinals were undefeated champions of the Suburban One American Conference.

14. Boyertown (16-5) – The Bears won the Pioneer Athletic Conference title and advanced to the second round of the District 1 tourney.

15. Harriton (13-7) – The Rams advanced to the second round of the District 1 tournament.

16. Ridley (11-7) – The Green Raiders tied for fourth in the Central League.

17. Archbishop Wood (13-6) – The Vikings advanced to the finals of the Catholic League.

18. Abington (13-6) – The Ghosts shared the Suburban One National Conference title and advanced to the second round of the District 1 tourney.

19. Friends’ Central (12-5) – The Phoenix won the Friends Schools League championship.

20. Wissahickon (17-3) – The Trojans placed second in the Suburban One American Conference and advanced to the second round of the District 1 tourney.

21. Hatboro-Horsham (13-5) – The Hatters placed second in the Suburban One Continental Conference and advanced to the second round of the District 1 tourney.

22. Council Rock North (14-2) – The Indians shared the Suburban One National Conference title.

23. Penn Charter (11-7) – The Quakers placed third in the Inter-Ac League.

24. Downingtown West (12-7) – The Whippets placed fourth in the Ches-Mont League.

25. Villa Maria Academy (11-8) – The Hurricanes finished second in the Athletic Association of Catholic Academies and advanced to the second round of the District 1 tourney.
