Dickinson senior goalie Tyler Magann (Hill School) has been named the Nike Division III Player of theWeek by Inside Lacrosse.

Magann, a first-year starter from Easton who played just one game last year, helped spark the Red Devils to a 7-6 upset win over No. 3 Roanoke on Saturday, helping his team improve to 6-0 for only the second time in school history. Dickinson, which is now 7-0 after winning on Tuesday, is ranked No. 10 in the country by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.
Magann made 11 saves and has a 5.91 goals against average while stopping 64% of the shots he’s seen. Magann also was mentioned in Lacrosse Magazine and was given a “Game Ball” for his efforts last week.
Dickinson – which went just 6-8 last year (2-6 in the Centennial Conference) – is ranked higher than at any time in program history. The Red Devils travel to Swarthmore on Saturday for their Centennial Conference opener.
Magann was a co-captain for Hill School in 2006 and a second-team All-Mid Atlantic Prep League selection.
