Jill Davis (Ridley) had three goals and two assists while freshmen Melanie Sarcinello (Marple Newtown) and Lauren McDermott (North Penn) each tallied three as host La Salle handed Presbyterian College a 13-3 loss Wednesday in women’s lacrosse.
Sophomore Megan Corliss (Archbishop Carroll) had a much quieter time in net after seeing 32 shots on goal in each of her team’s first two games. Corliss made five saves on eight of Presbyterian’s shots.
Rachel Baker added two goals for La Salle (1-2). Presbyterian is 0-5.
Drexel 18, Long Island 4
Katie Lawson tallied four goals and Becca Drylie-Perks had two goals and three assists for the Dragons (5-1). Alyse Maiden added two goals for Drexel. Whitney Johnson (three saves) and Rachael Behrndt (Downingtown East, eight saves) combined for 11 saves.
Christie Wienckowski (Marple Newtown) scored once for LIU (0-2).
Delaware 12, St. Joseph’s 6
Ali Libertini led the Hens (1-1) with four goals and an assist, while Morgan Marino tallied three scores and Courtney Aburn recorded two goals and an assist.
The Hawks (2-2) were led by Grace Dinn (three goals) and Jen Peters (two goals).
Johns Hopkins 14, Stony Brook 7
Freshman Sammi Arbitman (Episcopal Academy) had two caused turnovers and two groundballs for the winning Blue Jays (2-2).
Rutgers 12, Princeton 11
Maryt Cryan (Radnor) had one goal as the Scarlet Knights (3-0) stunned the No. 9 Tigers in their opener. Jenna Washabaugh (Germantown Academy) had two goals and an assist for Princeton.
Richmond 12, American 10
Molly Early (Radnor) tallied three goals as the Spiders 91-4) won their first game of the year. Sam Tijirian (Springfield-Delco) added an assist.
Bernadette Maher (Council Rock North) had two goals and an assist while Amanda Makoid 9Archbishop Wood) added a goal and an assist for American (1-4).
Marist 15, Lafayette 12
Kelly Condon (Abington) collected three goals, four groundballs and two caused turnovers to help Marist take its opener.
Division II
Mercy College 16, Manhattanville 9
Freshman goalie Lauren Mateja (Upper Merion) made nine saves in goal as the host Mavericks opened their program with a victory.
Division III
Haverford College 14, Scranton 3
Josie Ferri (Pennsbury) tallied six goals and Kenny Likes had three to pace the Fords (2-0).
