Junior attackman Scott Perri had three goals and one assist and Mark Manos (Salesianum) made 16 saves as 12th-ranked Drexel held off host Albany, 11-9, today in men’s lacrosse action.
Drexel (6-1) snapped a 4-4 deadlock by scoring five unanswered over the middle two quarters, winning its sixth straight. Albany fell to 0-6.
Colin Ambler (Abington) added a goal and three assists and Aaron Prosser scored twice while Matt McCormick (Malvern Prep) had four groundballs and two caused turnovers and Brian Teuber (Penn Charter) added three caused turnovers and a groundball to lead the defense.
Virginia 15, Towson 10
John Haldy (Haverford School) scored once and Ken Clausen (Hill School) had three groundballs and two caused turnovers to pace the No. 1 Cavaliers (8-0).

Villanova 20, Iona 5
Maria Bowman tallied four goals while Rachel Lasda had three and Sarah Berger (Hill School), Justine Donodeo, Erica Rybinski and Carly Miller each had two for the Wildcats (6-1).
UMBC 9, Delaware 7
Julianna Jeffers (Springfield-Delco) and Morgan Marino each recorded a pair of scores for UD, while Kalyn McDonough (Unionville) scooped up a game-high four groundballs for the losing Blue Hens (2-5).
St. Farncis 17, Long Island Univ. 13
Christie Wienckowksi (Marple Newtown) had a goal, three assists and five draw controls and Kristina Scheerer (Bishop Shanahan) had a goal and an assist for LIU (1-6).
Robert Morris 14, Siena 2
Courtney Sicinski (Downingtown West) had one goal for the winning Colonials (4-3).
Monmouth 12, Bing 10
Megan Brennan (Archbishop Carroll) erupted for five goals and Perry DeWitt (Great Valley) added one for Monmouth (3-5).
Vanderbilt 20, Penn State 14
Defender Kacie Connors (Radnor) had a goal, three draw controls and two groundballs for the winning Commodores (4-3). The Lions fell to 5-3.
Northwestern 13, Syracuse 12
Colleen Magarity (GermantownAcademy) scooped three groundballs as the No. 1 Wildcats improved to 6-0 and averted an upset at the hands of the Orange. Jackie DePetris (Archbishop Carroll) had three goals for Syracuse (4-2).
Duke 19, Navy 10
Christie Barnes (Radnor) and Amanda Jones (Germantown Academy) each scored twice and Kim Wenger (Great Valley) had two assists as the No. 3 Blue Devils (9-1) topped the Mids (9-2), giving Haverford High graduate Kerstin Kimel a win over fellow HH grad Cindy Timchal.
