Spring-Ford rising senior attackman Brian Bock has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Lafayette College.
Beck collected 55 goals and 24 assists and was a first Team Pioneer Athletic Conference
pick last year for the Rams, who went 19-3 and reached the finals of the PAC-10 tournament. Spring-Ford also advanced to the second round of the District 1 playoffs while earning its first post-league playoff win.
Bock, who plays for Team HEADstrong and made the Top 205 All-Star Fame, plans to major in civil engineering.
“I liked the smaller school and they have a lot of connections that make it easier to get a job,” said Bock, an Honor Roll student. That sealed the deal for me.
“Also, they have a program on the rise. I am excited to see what I can do to help out.”
Bock will join two Philly rising seniors that have recently committed to Lafeyette: Bishop Shanahan attackman Keegan Lawton and Episcopal Academy defenseman Carl Lampe
Bock is confident the Rams will again challenge for the PAC-10 crown and challenge for a state playoff berth.
“We always seem to have a good group coming back and we have a lot of talent in the sophomore class, too,” he said. “I think we’ll have high expectations.”
