Haverford School claimed the No. 5 spot and Conestoga followed at No. 6 while la Salle was No. 19 in the Lacrosse Magazine National High School Boys’ Top 25 Rankings released today.
Haverford School, which went 20-4, tied for the Inter-Ac league championship and won the Inter-Ac Invitational. One of its victories was a thrilling 8-7 triumph over Conestoga early in the season.
The Pioneers, meanwhile, went 24-2 and captured the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association championship, defeating defending PIAA champ La Salle (21-3). Conestoga also took the District 1 title, while the Explorers were champions of the District 12 (Catholic League) crown.
Conestoga finished No. 1 in the PA Media Rankings, while Haverford School was No. 2 and La Salle No. 3.
West Islip (N.Y.) was the No. 1 team in the poll, followed by Manhasset (N.Y.), Jamesville DeWitt (N.Y.) and St. Paul’s (Md.).
