Women’s recruit: Unionville senior midfielder Moran makes verbal commitment to Division II Lock Haven University

    Unionville senior midfielder Julie Moran has made a verbal commitment to play Division II lacrosse at 2009 National runner-up Lock Haven University.

    Moran scored 47 goals and helped the Indians finish undefeated in the Ches-Mont League and reach the semifinals of the first Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association championships.

    Moran, an Honor Roll etudent, plays club lacrosse for PA Express, which reached the championship game of the annual Vail Shootout during the summer.

    Lock Haven finished 18-4 in 2009 and won the Pennsylvania State Athletic conference crown before advancing to the NCAA finals where itr fell to Adelphi University.

    Seniors can sign National Letters of Intent Nov. 11-18 during the early signing period. Three Unionville seniors have committed to Division I colleges: goalie Melissa Lloyd and midfielder Lizzy Carney (Penn State) and midfielder Lindsey Smith (Penn).
