From Press Releases and Staff Reports
Under Armour and Corrigan Sports Enterprises announced that the fifth annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic and Underclassmen Games will be held on Saturday and Sunday, July 3-4, at Towson University’s Johnny Unitas Stadium.
The weekend will feature the annual Under Armour Classic, featuring the top 88 seniors in the nation, as well as an eight-team tournament of the top underclassmen from the top regions in the country. Once again, Philadelphia will be represented in the Underclassmen Games, being held for the third year.
Last year the boys’ South team emerged victorious for the first time in the Classic’s history by downing the North squad, 19-16. The girls’ North team won 12-9 after overcoming a two-goal halftime deficit.
A full weekend of events will be highlighted by the All-America boys’ senior showcase live on ESPNU Saturday evening. The girls will face off about three hours prior.
The Underclassmen Games will also feature teams from Baltimore, Long Island, Midwest, New England, New Jersey, Upstate New York and Washington, D.C. The two-day underclassmen tournament (July 3rd-4th) will feature All-Stars from the graduating classes of 2011, 2012, and 2013.
Last year the Philly teams in both divisions placed third.
Underclassmen tryout dates for each region will be announced next month.
