The Southeastern Pennsylvania Youth Lacrosse Association (SEPYLA) will hold a free clinic for new and veteran coaches and parents on Sunday from 9 a.m.-noon at Germantown Academy on 340 Morris Road in Fort Washington.
The event, open to anyone who coaches or is just getting involved in coaching, will feature two different sessions. One session will be for new coaches and parents and focus on skills and drills that you can work in practice or in the backyard to develop better lacrosse players.
The speakers for this session will be GA coach Dave Martin at 9 a.m. and Haverford School coach John Nostrant at 10 a.m.
The other session is for veteran coaches and will focus on various offensive and defensive strategies and will include much time for questions and answers. The speakers will be Penn coach Brian Voelker at 9 a.m. and St. Josephs’s Pat Cullinan at 10 a.m.
Everyone from both sessions is invited to come together for an open forum at 11 a.m. The speaker will be Drexel coach Chris Bates.
Players are also invited to attend. No registration is necessary and you do not need to be assosiated with the league. Handouts will be distributed; just bring a pen!
