Scholastic wrap: Germantown Friends edges Hill School in overtime, 17-16

    Betsy Sachs scored with 28 seconds left in overtime to give Germantown Friends a thrilling 17-16 victory over Hill School Saturday in non-league girls’ lacrosse.

    Sach finished with seven goals, five draw controls and four groundballs and Lydia Kring had six goals and nine groundballs. Two of her goals came in overtime.

    Also for GFS, Iris Williamson scored four goals, Lyles Swift-Farley had six groundballs, and Shelby Tucker had four groundballs and three draw controls.

Council Rock North 20, Pennsbury 2

    Hannah Plappert had six gals and seven assists while Elly Plappert added four goals and two assists to lead the Indians. Lindsay Rheiner also scored four goals while Casey Doyle had three, and Jenna DeLuca and Becky Ely had one each.

Upper Darby 16, Harry S Truman 8

    Sean Riley had six goals and Kevin Fonio added five as the Royals (6-7) claimed the non-league win.

    Andy Mardinley had three goals and five assists while Jake Syre had a goal and four assists and Chris Hombauer scored once.

New Hope-Solebury 15, William Allen 3

    Matt Allegretto had five goals while Kevin Fabrizio (two assists) and Jonathan Otto added three apiece to lead the Lions (4-6).  John Cimbalista added two goals while Carter Robinson had a goal and two assists. Matt Reilly (nine groundballs) scored once and Michael Heffernan made 10 saves.

    Also, Kramer Kaufelds scooped seven groundballs and did a strong job with clears.

Kiski School 11, Hill School 9

    Hill was led on offense by PJ Mara.
