Registration has begun for the 6th Annual Brian Houshower Lacrosse Festival on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Downingtown Middle School.
The tournament, which has grown to become one of the most established fall high school boys’ tourneys in the Philadelphia area, honors the memory of the popular Downingtown player who died in November of 2003 in a car accident.
This 10v10 Tournament is of Championship format, featuring a 3-game minimum with openings for A & B Divisions. Proceeds from the tourney, sponsored by Downingtown West Boys Lacrosse, go to the Brian Houshower Scholarship Fund and local youth lacrosse programs.
Cost of registration is $600 per team. Last year’s “A” Division championship was won by Black Bear Lax Chesco. The “B” champion was won by the Lions from Delaware County.
The rain date for the tourney is Oct. 31.
