Want to see nearly all of the teams in the Phillylacrosse.com Girls’ Rankings? Just take a trip Saturday to Radnor High for the 9th Annual Katie Samson Festival. Of the teams in this week’s Top 10, only Unionville and North Penn are not playing in the event. This week’s rankings:
1. Radnor (9-0) – The Red Raiders continue to roll. They host Ridley today and meet Notre Dame Saturday at the Katie Samson Festival. Last Week: No. 1
2. Episcopal Academy (11-3) – The Churchwomen face a major challenge at Katie Samson when they meet No. 7 Strath Haven. Last Week: No. 3
3. Unionville (11-1) – The Indians remain undefeated in the Ches-Mont League. They are off until playing Coatesville Monday. They added a big game with No. 6 Springfield-Delco on May 1. Last Week: No. 4.
4. Bayard Rustin (9-1) – The Golden Knights, who have won six straight, play Avon Grove today and then meet Archbishop Carroll Saturday at Katie Samson. Last Week: No. 5.
5. North Penn (10-0) – The Maidens appear headed to the Suburban One Continental Conference title after recent tight wins over Pennridge and Souderton. They play at Central Bucks West today and at Spring-Ford Friday. Last Week: No. 6.
6. Springfield-Delco (9-2) – The Cougars, after a 1-2 start, are looking very dangerous and have won eight straight games. They are at Penncrest today and face Penn Chater at Katie Samson Last Week: NR.
7. Strath Haven (8-1) – The Panthers regained their touch with a 21-9 win over Ridley Tuesday and play at Marple Newtown today before gearing for a showdown against No. 2 Episcopal Academy Saturday at Katie Samson, Last Week: No. 2
8. Baldwin School (6-1) – The Bears host Germantown Academy Friday in a key Inter-Ac League contest before meeting No. 9 Abington at Katie Samson. Last Week: No. 8
9. Abington (9-1) – The Ghosts have won eight straight and host Neshaminy today before meeting No. 8 Baldwin School at Katie Samson. Last Week: No 10.
10. Villa Maria Academy (8-1) – The Hurricanes scored an impressive 21-10 rout of Merion Mercy in a key Catholic Academies game Tuesday. They meet Great Valley at Katie Samson. Last Week: NR.
