The Northwestern Wildcats, the four-time reigning national champions, sit in the top spot of the IWLCA poll for the fifth consecutive week. Penn moved up one spot, to No. 5
The ‘Cats swept all 20 top-place votes for the third week this season. Three schools join the ranks for the first time in 2009, including Penn State and Ohio State from the American Lacrosse Conference and Loyola from the Big East, as the poll shows its most volatility this season.
