The Doylestown-based Old Dogs placed fourth last week in the Grand Master’s Division II competition at the Lake Placid Summit Lacrosse Classic in New York.
The Old Dogs fell to OWU Legends, 5-3, in the semifinals after coming out of qualifying rounds as the No. 3 seed. Old Dogs then bowed to Capitaland, 11-4, in the consolation game of the 45-over class.
In Master’s Division II competition, the Old Dogs placed 11th by defeating CVLV, 8-6, in a consolation game. Also, Chester County-based Lacrosse International placed 13th by downing Castigione Crabmen, 13-5. Meanwhile, Philadelphia finished in 15th place.
The highlight of the tourney for Philly-based teams was Team Harley downing Atlantic Sportswear, 11-5, to claim the Grand Masters Division I crown. Paul Thomas was named MVP of the championship game.
