Haverford School announces sites and game times for ‘Checking for Cancer’ Invitational

The Haverford School has officially announced the pairings and game times for the First Annual Nike “Checking for Cancer” Lacrosse Invitational, featuring eight of the top boys’ lacrosse programs in the nation. The invitational is set for Saturday, April 18 at Haverford School.

The games are as follows:

*11 a.m. – Georgetown Prep (Md.) vs. Duxbury (Mass.), Class of 75 field

*11:30 a.m. – Haverford School (Pa.) vs. Downingtown East (Pa.), Stadium turf field

*1 p.m. – St Paul’s School (Md.) vs. Garden City (N.Y.), Class of ’75 field

*1:30 p.m. – Malvern Prep (Pa.) vs. Darien (Conn.). Stadium turf field

The tourney features three teams ranked in the Top 25 in the Under Armour/Inside Lacrosse National Power Rankings: Georgetown Prep (4^th, 11-1), Duxbury (14^th, 3-0) and Darien (19^th, 1-0). At one point this year, Malvern Prep (3-3), Haverford School (6-4), St. Paul’s (6-2) and Garden City (6-1) also have been in the rankings. Downingtown East (6-1) is ranked 10^th in the Pennsylvania Lacrosse Media Rankings.
