Girls’ wrap: Springfield-Delco tops Conestoga for 8th straight win, Strath Haven handles Ridley

Shannon Burns scored five goals while Madison Poplawski and Sam Tulskie added three apiece as host Springfield-Delco topped Conestoga, 14-9, Tuesday in central League girls’ lacrosse action for its eighth straight win.

Taylor Mallory led the Pioneers with four goals and Kaitlin Hildebrand added a pair.

Strath Haven 21, Ridley 9

Ana White had six goals and five assists and Emily garrity collected six goals and four assists to lead the Panthers (8-1, 5-1). Shaela Allen led Ridley with two goals and an assist.

Laura Walzer had four goals top lead the Rams while Jackie Marshall had eight saves and strong defense was played by Ally McLaughlin, Marisa Sobel, Olivia Arronson and Meg Rubenstein. Melanie sarcinello led MN with four goals.

Kelyn Freedman scored five goals while Allie Martin and Natalie Miller had four apiece for the No. 1 Red Raiders (9-0, 6-0).

Notre Dame 19, Germantown Academy 17

Kelly McCallion had seven goals, Katie Blumenthal scored five and Megan McCullough had three groundballs to lead the Irish to the Inter-Ac League win. Kate Henrich paced GA with five goals.

Steph Parcell notched five goals and three assists to lead the Bucs. Alisa Roberts led PW with three goals.

Abbie Hartman had five goals to lead the undefeated Maidens to the Suburban One Continental win.

Kyrstin Mackrides poured in six goals and Chelsea Fay and Kathy Young each added five while Sarah Radie made 15 saves to help Villa avenge an eary-season loss to the Bears. Kimmy Keating led Merion with four goals and Margaret Corzel added three.

Villa Joseph Marie 19, Nazareth 10

Bridget Crane poured in six goals for VJM.

Council Rock North 21, Neshaminy 1

Hannah Plappert scored six goals for the Indians.

Council Rock South 13, Pennsbury 5

Sarah Brotman scored four goals while Sammy Hurley and Madison Hurwitz had three each for CRS.

Germantown Friends 12, Moorestown Friends 4

Lydia Kring and Lyles Swift-Farley scored three goals apiece for the Tigers in the Friends’ Schools League win.

Kennett 14, Sun Valley 10

Katie Ferree poured in six goals for the Demons while Kim Harkins had four for the Vanguards.
