Shaela Allen scored as the clock expired to give Ridley a 13-12 Central League girls’ lacrosse win at Harriton today.
Allen had an 8-meter shot saved by Harriton’s Jackie Marshall with 10 seconds left before a foul was called during a scrum in front of the goal with 0.8 seconds left. Allen got another 8-meter shot with 0.8 seconds left and put in her shot as time ran out to win it.
Ridley led, 10-6, before the Rams rallied to take a 12-11 lead with 2:59 on a goal by Jess Schwab off a feed from Ally McLaughlin. Ridley tied it 47 seconds later.
Jenna Massimo led the Green Raiders with four goals while Ashley Henderson had two two goals and two assists while Allen, Sam Bartow and Becky Donkin each scored twice.
Schwab had three goals and seven draw controls for the Rams while Laura Walzer scored three gfoals and Jess Rothstein had two goals and two assists.
