Germantown Academy defender Sidney Jacobs heads the list of recruits for Brown University’s women’s lacrosse team.

Coming off one of Brown’s best seasons in recent history after finishing in fourth in the Ivy League, the Bears welcome eight newcomers to the program this fall. This year’s talented group of newcomers will look to contribute immediately on a team that posted a 7-8 record in the spring of 2009.

“I am looking forward to working with this class and watching them connect with the returning players this fall,” said head coach Keely McDonald. “They are all tremendous fits for Brown University, our program and our style of play. As a group, they bring additional size, skill, strength and speed to the field. We expect all eight student-athletes to be impressive leaders for the program, the athletic department and Brown University due to their integrity, intensity and work ethic.”
