Westview (CA) senior long-stick middie/defenseman Brendan Booth has committed to play NCAA Division III lacrosse at Eastern University.
Booth said he also considered Cabrini but settled on Eastern because he like several aspects of the team. Booth will be joining his friend, Mount Carmel (CA) senior middie David Darling, who also committed to the St. Davids, Pa.-based school.
“I thought the coach (first-year mentor Brandon Childs) was an awesome guy, and I like where the program is going,” Booth said. “One of my friends is going there also, so it should be fun.”
Booth even said he is looking forward to leaving the warmer San Diego climate in favor of colder days in the Philadelphia area.
“I like the weather back there,” Booth said. “I’m not a big fan of the hot weather. I’m looking forward to playing in the cold. It should be a good experience.”
