Arapahoe (CO) senior attackman Ryan Parietti has verbally committed to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at the University of Pennsylvania.
Parietti – whose highly-ranked team (13-5 last year) will come to Philly this spring to play at La Salle (March 23) and Malvern Prep (March 24) – said he also considered Denver, Brown, Colgate and Dartmouth but chose the Philadelphia-based school because he thought he meshed well with the program and the university.
“I really liked the other kids in my recruiting class, and I liked the other kids who were already on the team,” Parietti said. “And the academics there are obviously really good. It was a great fit overall.”
Parietti added that he’s pumped to take his game to the East Coast.
“I’m just excited to be able to compete against the top Eastern players,” Parietti said. “I really think Western kids have the ability to be just as good as they are and compete at that level.”
