Erica Rybinski, Taryn McKenna and Katie Stone scored four goals each to power the Villanova women’s lacrosse team to a 17-9 victory Sunday over Wagner.
Taylor Lucy added two goals for Villanova (2-6). Rybinski also had two assists while Kim Wisniewski, Carly Miller and Julie Shelman also scored for the ‘Cats. Maggie Langan earned the win with five saves in 53.48 minutes of play in goal.
Monmouth 10, Robert Morris 9
Megan Brennan (Archbishop Carroll) had two goals and an assist and Monica Johnson (Archbishop Carroll) made 15 saves to help Monmouth (3-5) earn the NEC win. Courtney Sicinski (Downingtown West) had two goals for RM (4-5).
Ohio State 20, Duquesne 11
Kelly Haggerty (Unionville) poured in six goals and assisted on two more as the No. 19 Buckeyes improved to 7-1. Gabby Capuzzi (Archbishop Carroll) added a goal for Ohio State. Haggerty has 27 goals and 21 assists this year.
Northwestern 19, Syracuse 8
Megan Mosenson (Great Valley) scored three goals and assisted on another and Jackie DePetris (Archbishop Carroll) added an assist for the No. 4 Orange (6-2) in their loss to No. 1 Northwestern (9-0).
Notre Dame 20, California 4
Maggie Tamisitis (Boyertown) had a goal and three assist to help the Fighting Irish.
Long Island 16, Central Conn State 15
Christie Wienckowski (Marple Newtown) had two goals, one assist and four groundballs as Long Island (2-4) won the NEC contest.
Division II
Georgian Court 10, Phila. University 9
Danielle Coffaro, Taylor Peltzer (Archbishop Wood) and Michelle O’Hanlon (Springfield-Delco) scored two goals apiece for the losing Rams (3-4).
Men
Bryant 15, Penn 11
Defender Joe Rauchut (Penn Charter) had two caused turnovers and a groundball to pace host Bryant (6-4). Craig Andrzejewski and Drew Collins each had three goals for the Quakers (1-5).
Quinnipiac 15, Detroit Mercy 4
Jack Oppenheimer (Germantown Academy) scored once for Quinnipiac (2-5).
Division III
Catholic 19, Penn State Abington 3
Jimmy Sinnott (La Salle) scored twice for Catholic (4-2) while Joe Staerk (Abington) had a goal and an assist for Penn State (0-6).
