College wrap: Delaware women topple Drexel, 7-3

    Visiting Delaware outscored Drexel, 6-2, in the second half and claimed a 7-3 win over the Dragons Friday in Colonial Athletic Association women’s lacrosse.

    Stephanie Allen led Delaware (7-5, 3-0) with two goals. Becca Drylie-Perkins, Katie Lawson and Katie Musto all scored once and Lauren LaBella made 11 saves for the Dragons (7-5, 0-3).

Richmond 21, George Washington 12

    Sam Tijirian (Springfield-Delco) scored once for the winning Spiders (3-11, 3-2) while Taylor Donohue (Radnor) collected four goals and two assists and Sarah Philips (Downingtown West) had four assists for GW (4-10, 3-2) in the A-10 game.

Old Dominion 12, George Mason 11

    Ashley Kellogg (Downingtown West) fired in five goals while Lisa Bernardini (George School) and Rebecca Hartrum (Springfield-Delco) had one each and Sarah Geary (Springfield-Delco) had nine saves for ODU (8-3, 2-1) in the Colonial Athletic Association. Emily Ellisen (Great Valley) and Megan Udovich (Ridley) both scores for GM (5-6, 1-2).

William & Mary 14, James Madison 13, OT

    Emily Geary (Radnor) had 10 saves and defender Lauren Coll (Archbishop Carroll) had four groundballs and two caused turnovers to lead W&M (6-6, 2-1) to the CAA win. Jaime Dardine (Marple Newtown) had three goals and two assists and Mary Kate Lomady (Abington) added two goals for JMU (5-7, 1-2).

Stanford 17, Denver 10

    Julie Christy (Conestoga) scored two goals and Amanda Schwab (Harriton) added one as the Cardinal (8-3, 5-0) earned a big win over Denver in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.

Towson 13, Hofstra 11

    Jacie Kendall (Souderton) scored once for the Tigers (7-5, 1-2) in their CAA win.

Division II

Molley 17, Philadelphia University 9

    Sarah Davis tallied three goals while Caribeth Shappell and Taylor Peltzer (Archbishop Wood) had two each for the Rams (5-6) in defeat.
