This week’s Boys’ Underclassmen Honor Roll choices:
Tate Klidonas, Emmuas, junior midfielder
Off the field: He currently holds a 3.92 GPA, while taking Honors Philosophy. His community service includes assisting with youth football and wrestling camps and volunteering at a children’s daycare during the summer.
On the field: He leads the team in scoring after 5 games (14G, 2 A, 3.2pts/game), is winning 80% of his face-offs (was 17 of 19 vs. Ridley in the team’s opener), and rarely leaves the field.. He also was a state qualifier in wrestling this year and a tailback and strong safety/linebacker on the football team.
Jimi Hennessy, Owen J. Roberts, junior midfielder, face-off specialist.
Off the field: He boasts a GPA of 3.4.
On the field: He has won 75 percent of his face-offs (63 of 79) for a team that has started 5-0.
Andy Mardinly, Upper Darby, junior midfielder
Off the field: He has a GPA of 3.3, takes Honors classes and was listed on the Distinguished Honor Roll the past two years.
On the Field: He has seven goals and four assists as well as 31 ground balls in four games for the 4-0 Royals. He was also elected captain his junior year. He also takes the face-offs and plays on man-up and man-down situations.
